Blake Shelton Tapped for The Voice
Our old friend Blake Shelton has just been tapped as the fourth and final musician coach of NBC's upcoming singing competition series The Voice, which premieres April 26. Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green, and Adam Levine round out the lineup. The title of the show referrers to the the primary difference between this singing competition and all others. On The Voice the contestants will be heard, but not seen - at least in the beginning. Blake says that blind audition phase is likely to be to be his favorite part.

The choice of judges is a shrewd move on NBC's part to capture an extra wide range of demographics. The fact that Blake was chosen to reel in the massive country music market is testament to his rapidly rising star. While we have known and dealt with the life-long Tak player from early-on, It seems the news of Blake's broad talent and appeal has reached the brass at NBC. They won't be disappointed.

Blake will carry out his Summer tour plans in spite of this new gig and will be playing his Takamine TAN15C throughout.
