Galia Arad Plays Royal Albert Hall
Meet Galia Arad, the NYC based singer songwriter and winner of several coveted songwriting awards including Hall of Fame's 'Abe Olman Award for Excellence in Songwriting' and top honors in 'The Great American Song Competition'. Galia's writing and performance skills have also gained the respect and support of one of her music idols, Shane MacGowan (from The Pogues), who wrote the liner notes for her sophomore album 'Ooh La Baby'.

All of the above were mile markers towards Galia landing the opening spot for Jules Holland's recent European tour including an evening at Royal Albert Hall. For years Galia's main guitar squeeze has been her Takamine EC132SC classical cutaway (which is eerily suited to her sultry voice), but word on the street is that she's been out with a new, younger EF508KC (see photo). Ms. Arad contends that she and the attractive steel string are just friends and that he's just a loaner, but her hair twirling and lack of eye contact suggest differently.
