Garth Sells Out 9 Shows Raises 3.5 Million
In less than 8 hours our old friend Garth Brooks sold more than 150,000 tickets to benefit Nashville flood relief and 1 concert at the Bridgestone Arena quickly morphed into 9 sold out shows. It has been 6 months since May's flood caused more than $2 billion in damage in Nashville alone and killed 22 people, but the recovery has been slow and remains far from complete. With everyone involved donating their services from the venue to band, crew and cartage companies, every dime from the 3.5 million raised will go directly to The Community Foundation Middle Tennessee. "It's great to be a part of the healing," Brooks said in a news release.
