Joe Walsh, Blake Shelton Take Tak Center Stage at 2012 Grammys
When Joe Walsh needed a nylon string guitar to accompany Sir Paul McCartney's Grammy performance of 'My Valentine' he turned to Takamine, specifically the EC132SC. Joe was already familiar with the model. It was what both he and Don Felder played for the Eagles' 1995 unplugged version of 'Hotel California'. The tune originally called for an arch top jazz guitar but Joe suggested the fuller and more appropriate tone of the Takamine classical.

Meanwhile Blake Shelton was not slated to play guitar at all during his Glen Campbell tribute performance of 'Southern Nights'. But Shelton just felt more comfortable behind his Tak TAN15C. That's understandable. Blake has been playing one Tak or another his entire career. Click here to check out this clip of the Grammys' Glen Campbell tribute. The 2012 Grammys drew a phenomenal 40 million viewers.
