Takamine

The June issue of Acoustic Guitar has just hit the stands and our old friend Steve Wariner graces the cover holding his signature model Tak SW341SC. It should come as no surprise to anyone who has followed the career of this multi-talented artist. He recently won his 4th Grammy and no artist has ever been more associated with a particular guitar brand than Steve and Takamine.

Steve was not only the first recipient of a signature model Takamine (20th anniversary) but was the first to embrace the Takamine brand in Nashville. In fact, if you were to trace the influences of every Tak player on the planet back to their primary source and the "big bang", you would find Glenn Frey and the Eagles on the West Coast and Steve Wariner in Nashville. That's quite a family tree.

Steve's most recent Grammy win for Best Country Instrumentalist Performance seems to have left a good taste in his mouth as he is already back in the studio recording another instrumental album, and without having heard a single note of it, our money is on Steve to repeat.
