Country singer/songwriter Kenny Chesney took a slow-but-steady walk up the road to success.
He began performing in the late '80s and produced his first album in 1989; it sold about 1,000 copies.

In 1995 he had his first hit song, Fall in Love. By 1996, he finally reached the top 40 on the country music charts, and his first album went gold. Since then, at least 10 more of Chesney's albums have gone gold, and in 2006, he received a plaque honoring his sales of 25 million albums. Chesney was the Country Music Association's Entertainer of the Year in 2004, 2006, 2007 and 2008. He's won nearly two dozen other awards for his contributions to country music.

Kenny's album, 'Just Who I Am: Poets & Pirates' (2007), produced five Top 10 singles on the country charts. USA Today called Poets & Pirates' one of the 'Must See' summer concerts in 2008. Chesney's concerts have become all day events that are more than just about music - they are summer vacations for the fans, who come early to tailgate before the show, and stay late. The Corona Sun City Tailgate will hit the 12 stadium shows on the Sun City Carnival tour, creating the island atmosphere for fans, complete with entertainment, Corona beer, food, and prizes.
