In 2026, Takamine introduce our top tier dreadnought and NEX models, crafted from carefully selected tonewoods and finished with exquisite hand craftsmanship

These all solid guitars feature a high grade Sitka spruce top paired with the same top notched Indian rosewood back and sides for a time honored tonal combination, while adopting a cutaway body design to provide enhanced access to the upper frets, reflecting Takamine’s performance driven stage heritage

An ebony fingerboard and a specially laminated pure ebony bridge contribute to the instruments’ refined appearance while ensuring durability and portability for professional use

Natural abalone purfling is meticulously inlaid around the top, sides, and back, offering an elevated visual presence and a sense of pride of ownership for the player

Dreadnought model features abalone Mountain position marks, and NEX model features abalone Snow Crystal position mark, both fully inlaid, which are carefully selected from the precious natural resources in the ebony fingerboard.

Built with the performer in mind, it features Takamine’s proprietary CT4 DX™ preamp system paired with duo of the unique Palathetic ® under saddle pickup and Takamine original soundboard transducer for peerless amplified response. The CT4 DX provides independent control over both pickups, each of which will then have two band EQ and a notch filter control. You can also alter the mix levels of each of the pickups, and an onboard chromatic tuner.

Due to the level of craftsmanship required, production is limited, with only a small number of instruments completed each month
