While it’s more than likely Morgan will move on to next week’s semi-finals and the finale as well, it is crystal-clear that no matter what happens from here, Morgan Myles has already won. Anyone fortunate enough to witness even one of her of her several “Voice” performances is unlikely to forget her. She is just that much of stand-out talent. And that’s not even taking into consideration her stellar songwriting.
For years we have watched our friend Morgan tour venues large and small, extensively, relentlessly, often equipped with only that soulful voice and a Takamine EF508KC.
So to witness Morgan finally unleashing that inimitable voice and spirit in front one of the best bands on the planet and an audience of millions, is a beautiful, beautiful thing.
As John Legend commented afterwards; ““it was like an awards show performance. I think you’ve been one of the most gifted vocalists throughout this competition. I loved seeing you in your full element today. It felt like you were up there doing exactly what you were supposed to be doing.”
That’s exactly what she was doing.
