Top Grossing Country Act of 2014: Toby Keith.
Forbes Magazine recently made note of Country Music’s recent surge past mainstream pop as the nation’s top selling genre and went on to name the industries top grossing performers. Takamine signature model artist, Toby Keith earned the #1 spot pulling in an impressive 65 million between June 2013 and June 2014. Keith, the subject of last year’s Forbes Celeb 100 cover story has not only had his own share of crossover hits, but the Oklahoma native seems to have a knack for lucrative side projects such as his ‘I Love This Bar and Grill’ restaurants, his popular Wild Shot’ Mescal and of course his multi-million dollar endorsement deal with Ford. Toby was last year’s top earner as well and has earned 335 million over the last 6 years.
