Nobody Paid to Play Taks.
It’s a reoccurring misconception that the high profile roster of artists who play Takamine do so by virtue of some sort of paid endorsement. Not true. Takamine has never paid artists to play our guitars. We’ve never had to. The guitars fend for themselves. But we will admit that while our relationships with some of the industry’s top names do not involve money (not even royalties on signature models) there is in fact an unspoken agreement between Takamine and the likes of Blake Shelton, Garth Brooks, Bruce Springsteen, Steve Wariner, Glenn Frey, Toby Keith, Kenny Chesney, Bob Seger and a host of other top tier artists who could easily afford any guitar (or guitar company) they like. The deal is this: As long as Takamine continues to build the best acoustic-electric guitar on planet Earth – they will keep playing them.
