Taking Back Sunday Tours with Taks
Taking Back Sunday, the rock solids from Long Island, recently launched their Summer / Fall tour in support of their 7th album “Tidal Wave” and as always Tak acoustics will be on stage. In fact for the last 15 years, when it was time for TBS to dial in an acoustic set…it has been with Takamine.
This year Adam Lazarra turned to the P6N. The sunburst, solid flame maple, solid spruce top NEX model had the vintage vibe Adam wanted. Factor in a line-out of fat, natural acoustic tone as supplied by the legendary Palathetic Pickup and CTP3 (Cool Tube) preamp… and Lazarra had found exactly what he was looking for.
Bandmate John Nolan chose the dressier EF450C-TT BSB featuring the TLD2 line driver preamp and Palathetic pickup driven in this model by a solid “thermal” spruce atop flamed maple back and sides.
