Blake Gifts Glenn Frey Model to Red Marlow
When Red Marlow sang his way on to Blake Shelton’s team on “The Voice” the talented, Nashville based traditional country artist was not a Takamine player. In fact, Red’s loving wife had just gifted him a beautiful, other brand high-end acoustic which was seen in those first episodes where Red did so well. So when we heard that coach Blake also intended to gift Red an acoustic guitar, specifically the Takamine EF360GF, all things considered, we doubted the interloping Tak would see the light of stage.
But alas. From what we can only attribute to an extremely brave husband, understanding wife and/or the cool, player-friendly dreadnought, the Glenn Frey Signature Model has been Red Marlow’s go-to acoustic every night since. Fast-forward several white knuckled, heart breaking elimination rounds and the seasoned traditionalist has emerged as one of the 4 finalists to perform during the show’s anticipated grand finale.
Regardless of the contests outcome, Red has already won. Now completing its 13th season, NBC’s The Voice remains one of television’s consistently highest rated programs averaging 10 million viewers per episode twice a week. Red Marlow has made a lot more friends and fans, including us.
