Bon Jovi Leads Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Class of ‘18
After over 120 million albums sold, more than 2,600 concerts worldwide and setting an industry standard for career longevity, Bon Jovi, that little band from New Jersey will be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland this April 14th. Not surprisingly, Jon’s response to the upcoming honor is to hit the road and fill a few more arenas.
Beginning March 14th in Denver, the band that has seen a million faces and rocked them all, will carry on with the “This House is Not for Sale” tour which has already grossed 47 million in N. America and 40 million in the S. American portion. Tour dates here.
Perhaps no Takamine artist better personifies what the brand is all about than Jon and his warhorse EF341SC. For an artist who could easily afford any guitar (or guitar company) he might like, the fact that Jon has played the same Takamine for every single show since finding it in that New Jersey music shop in 1994… speaks volumes.
So congratulations to Jon, Tico Torrez, David Bryan, Richie Sambora, Hugh McDonald and Alec John Such for earning their place at Rock & Roll’s Holy Grail. Joining them there this year; Dire Straits, The Cars, Moody Blues, Nina Simone and Sister Rosetta Thorpe with the esteemed Early Influence Award.
