Dillon Carmichael to Make Grand Ole Opry Debut

Dillon Carmichael Hell on an Angel

After his performance this Tuesday night, August 21st, up-and-coming country artist Dillon Carmichael will have officially arrived… via the Grand Ole Opry.

Last February we at Takamine were introduced to this talented Kentuckian by way of an overheard rehearsal in Nashville. We had to know who that classic country baritone belonged to.

Though we had not previously met the soulful 23 year old, we learned he was just a degree or two removed from Takamine family. His manager, industry veteran John Dorris had sent a few of his artists our way years earlier, including the great Montgomery Gentry and a gangly Okie named Blake Shelton.

So we decided to make it official then and there with a new P6JC-BSB. The big sounding Pro Series  jumbo and Dillon have appeared together many times since, like in in this cool video for his summer single It's Simple.

So check out Dillon’s Opry debut Aug 21st where he will likely perform “It’s Simple” and with any luck the killer title track from his upcoming debut album Hell on an Angel, scheduled for release Oct 26th.

Also performing on the Opry that night, Vince Gill, Eddie Montgomery and Trace Atkins.
